Working as a team of highly trained and competent professionals, Cambridge Behavioral Health Services provides a broad range of behavioral health services to consumers, utilizing the Best Practice model. Counseling individuals with mental, emotional and behavioral problems requires a variety of clinical skills and techniques. To help consumers obtain solutions to their issues and to develop appropriate coping mechanisms, it is important to understand their issues and work within the context of their lives. Consequently, our professional staff carefully directs individuals in their struggles to obtain the skills that will better enable them to face life challenges.

CBHS partners with other stakeholders to provide an effective and comprehensive treatment modality to our customers. Moreover, CBHS provides these services in various environments which include but not limited to the following:  home, community, school, or the office. Currently, CBHS operates three licensed children residential level III facilities. All three facilities have a capacity of 4 beds and treat males who present significant behavioral, emotional, and mental challenges. These residential facilities, Impact One, Impact 22, and Lauren’s Way are located in Nash, Pitt, and Beaufort counties respectfully. The agency also operates a state licensed child and adolescent day treatment facility, Cambridge Day, which serves youth between the ages of 3 to 17 years old year round.

CBHS provides adults, children, adolescents, families, and organizations an array of clinical and psycho educational mental health services to help them overcome life challenges and to cope with situations that sometime seem overwhelming and insurmountable.
